Akhi is inspired by an Ojibway myth. Akhi means Earth and the two characters, the Shaman Tree and Insect Woman, are Mother Earth’s children. With wonder and innocence, the two characters explore the world around them. By interacting with the audience, they collect spiritual essence to bring back to Mother Earth.
